What Do we Need Today? Jan Lok Pal Bill?

What do we need today... a 100Cr population of India may say Strong Jan Lok Pal bill to eradicate corruption from our Nation Or another bill to punish people who have indulged themselves in any unlawful deeds and activities against our Constitution....

Well, will it be sufficient? Is this what we really need today? I believe not its sufficient.
Recently in Hyderabad, Traffic Police declared that its mandatory to wear a helmet and its evident how people have reacted to it. The intent behind this mandatory rule was the safety of public. But, few have bought helmets and kept on their bikes but not wearing it. Few were not even bothered to buy that. What does that mean?

Again, Traffic Police have made it clear that in a recent announcement that Helmet is mandatory and the fine was Rs.100 and if we jump the signals the fine will be Rs.1000. Interestingly the very same day, a news channel had put up a discussion on this topic saying that its additional burden on "Common Man". The point here to be noted is Those who break the rule/law are not to be considered as Common Man. They are the accused/law-breakers!!! Here the common man is not burdened, but are being driven in a disciplined direction!!!

We need a punishment to make us follow the prescribed rules. We need another rule to implement an existing law. If we can follow the rules and laws, what is the need of a fine for breaching it!!!! And there is not guarantee that any law can assure the implementation of any existing Rule or Law.

With 60+ years behind it, our constitution and laws have all required laws and regulations.. but the practice was/is the only missing thing..

Unless we develop self-discipline among ourselves, we cannot expect a developed India in near future. The secret to that path doesn't lie only in the regulations/Bills to prevent corruption or any other factor that may hinder our development, but also in the minds of people.

We hail the UKs and USAs for the hygiene and beauty of the cities while we don't follow here. It’s the self-discipline of the people keep them outstanding in the world but not just the governments and Regulations.

There is an Employee union for every firm/every govt. department to stand for the welfare and well-being of Employees. There is a union for the welfare and well-being of every Caste and Religion. But we all belong to Mother India and there is no such union which stands behind the nationalism and national issues!!!! (Don’t take this statement as a silly one; it’s carrying a broader meaning than how it looks – Read the entire post from beginning to understand what I mean if you don’t get it now!!!).

And the Move by Traffic Police Hyd (penalties for signal jump) is a good one and I believe its the first step towards bringing in discipline*!!!

* Condition is that - Every person who is found to be breaking the traffic rules is penalised without exceptions - No bribes please!!!!

Each and Every individual should not only feel the responsibility but has to (at least try to) follow it.

Nice start Ravi, thanks for putting your thought in blog and sharing it with us.

Breaking rules is meant to be cool/attitude in our generation, people think it is fun but at the end by doing like this people are not thinking that it is creating a path which others will follow.

we need to keep out our thoughts in right way,and create a way for others **to mention here change starts from our home.

we say cleanliness is next to godliness but we follow it when we are in foreign countries but not in our own motherland.

Hope everyone who reads this blog understands its sensitivity and follow with the same.
