This is where we live and will have to..

Many of us say "Nature is beautiful". And ours is a culture that teaches - vruksho rakshati rakshitaha. The essence of our living lies in how closely we are with the Nature.
Natural resources such as water, air etc are so invaluable that there is no alternative to these in our lives. At the moment, the situation is so alarming that most of our country would be a desert in the decades to come if we continue to be as irresponsible as we are today.

If we understand only the language of money here it goes

Every month we get salary during the first week of the month. And at that time - we will be on a spending spree - go for movies, shopping, etc. We may not be much concerned at our bank balance or how much we are spending.  By the time we reach last week of the month, we run out of money and we will be watching every rupee that we spend. In a similar way, It's worse than that with respect to water resources or air pollution. We ran out of water in many places. This is not even the case of salary which you can expect after sometime (you would not get back these natural resources). We can only use the available resources judiciously and try recharging the resources. When we are uncertain about our future income, we invest today for returns we may want to get tomorrow, or we save for our children; likewise we have to invest to give the same climatic conditions and environment for our future generations the way we got from our ancestors.

In fact, the ideal comparison would be - inherited properties is what you have. If you keep spending, without earning or investing for a future earning - can only lead to starving!!

So let's promise to ourselves that we say - No to Food waste, water waste.

  • Plant and protect trees
  • Adopt solar power to as much as possible
  • Harvest rain water
  • Recycle plastics
  • Recharge ground with used water after treating
  • Plant and protect trees (purposefully repeated)

Remember we have one and only one Earth..
